Is Nuclear power really green

In a poll conducted by 75% people said they were ok with Nuclear power. Nuclear power has a much smaller carbon foot print but brings alongwith it more problems. Some of these are dangers of mining uranium, issues of transporting and storing nuclear waste, ecological impacts of the warm water released into oceans and streams. Many governments are supporting nuclear power while environmentalists are divided.
